Our fitness lessons are unique because the Kids Heart Felt Health program
not only get kids up and moving, but also teaches nutrition every step of the way! Children as young as 7 years
old learn about nutrition concepts like "free radicals," "oxidative stress", and "amino acids"
and play games that instill these important nutrition and health concepts. Children engage in many activities in
which these nutritional concepts are emphasized.
Our program also coordinates each
week with our cooking program. The children swap activities on alternate weeks, so they learn our key nutrition lessons
in two different formats (cooking & fitness).
Through working with children, we
have learned that even very young children are able to learn about sophisticated nutrition concepts and that eating healthy
and being physically active is fun and exciting!
